Schein Media of Kingston, founded in 2006, has taken a stable of published magazines and online business real estate publications and expanded into an especially growing business: presenting conferences on commercial and residential real estate, particularly with an accent on sustainable development.
A Kingston confab is complete. Next stop: San Francisco.
The Hudson Valley Green Real Estate Development Conference recently at Tech City in Kingston attracted about 200 attendees and panelists. They explored current development patterns with speakers and participants including builders and Realtors and also with entrepreneurs whose businesses involve renewable energy, purveyors of reused and sustainable building materials as well as developers such as Tech City’s Alan Ginsberg who is attempting to redevelop the former IBM site into a green commercial and industrial complex.
“The conferences are basically a magazine that is live and readers get to meet each other,” Jonathan A. Schein, CEO, president and founder of the company, said of the conference events, whose format is presentation by experts in panels or alone on topics of interest to attendees with time built in for discussion. The proceedings are later published in user-friendly formats marketed to anyone interested in the discussions and contacts at hand.
Other past conferences have included the New Jersey Real Estate Economic Survival Conference 2009, and its counterpart the New York Real Estate Economic Survival Conference 2009, as well as the New Jersey Urban Real Estate Conference of 2008.
