Realtor expands in New Rochelle

Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty has acquired Lucille Ritacco Real Estate in New Rochelle, its eighth brokerage office in Westchester County.

Lucille Ritacco, who established the firm in 1974 and serves as its broker-owner, will join Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty as an associate broker. The acquisition will add 38 licensed real estate professionals in New Rochelle to the Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty team, which will operate from the Ritacco office at 1315 North Ave.

“I am especially excited to be joining forces with Lucille and her team,” Greg Rand, managing partner of Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty, said in a statement. “They are exactly the kind of professionals who can take our technology and innovative marketing and bring it to the marketplace with their enormous local credibility and goodwill. It’s the best of both worlds.”

Rand Realty was founded in Rockland County in 1984 and expanded into Westchester in 1999. In April 2009, it acquired the Century 21 Wolff brokerage, adding 128 sales agents in White Plains, Yonkers and Thornwood. The family owned brokerage has 24 offices in Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Putnam counties.
